Membership: Members must pay for the entire season in advance, although you may elect to pay half down & the remainder by April 5th. Membership includes home/office delivery (within our delivery area).
Customization:Boxes can NOT be customized. Members will receive between 6-8 items each week selected by the farm based on harvest availability.
Home/Office Delivery: Our delivery area includes most of Pitt County & Beaufort County. (Please contact us if you are unsure whether your location is included in our delivery zone). Deliveries for the 2018 Season will be made on Thursdays between 1-4pm.
Coolers/Icepacks: We ask that ALL members who receive HOME DELIVERY leave out a cooler (with ice-packs) for us to leave your order. If you do not leave out a cooler (with icepacks), Locavore Market will not be liable for the condition of your products. Providing a cooler for your order to be packed also eliminates the need to save & return your box each week (see below).
Boxes: We ask that you return your empty produce box each week (this is not necessary if you leave out a cooler for us to pack your order). Simply set out your empty box from the previous week's delivery.
Missed Deliveries: If you plan to go out of town and are unable to receive delivery, let us know in advance so we can deliver your share to a friend or family member of your choice (assuming they live/work within our delivery area). We will not be postponing/doubling-up orders to make up for missed deliveries. It is important that our little farm has the steady, dependable outlet for our produce that regular weekly deliveries allow. (In other words, if we double-up one member's order we may fall short for another member).
Schedule Changes: We reserve the right to cancel and/or postpone weekly deliveries due to inclement weather or other unforseen circumstances (including illness, mechanical issues/breakdown, ice/snow, extreme cold/heat, wind/rain, etc.) In most cases if a delivery is cancelled due to weather, another week will simply be added to the end of the season to make-up for it.
Risk: CSA members recognize and accept that there is certain level of risk involved in CSA membership. Although we work to mitigate this risk by sourcing from other local farmers when our farm falls short, there is always the potential for wide-spread crop loss across the region in the event of a natural disaster or other extreme weather events.
Refunds/Cancellations: Our family depends on your commitment to the CSA in order to plan and prepare for the upcoming season. Therefore, we encourage prospective members to find out more about CSA's and make sure its a good fit before deciding to join. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We take great pride in our farm's products and will do whatever we can to make our members happy.
